The internet is a seething mass of information and it can be a daunting experience trying to sort the wheat from the chaff of what is interesting and valid, from what is quite simply a waste of your brain capacity and time. I have a few favourites, but one that stands out is the excellent Peak Performance Online site. What it lacks in specific body composition specialisation (my own particular acute area of interest) it more than makes up in both its breadth and depth of coverage of all aspects relating to sports performance.
Most notably I find myself accessing Peak Performance for advice on sports injuries and rehabilitation, where the input of the contributors is second to none. Moreover rather than being just a dry journal where one reads whatever topic a journalist has decided to write about that week/ month, there is a hugely useful interactive element to the site. I know of very few other resources where one can ask questions of industry experts (regular readers can also be regular contributors) and expect an informed, unbiased answer within a matter of days, if not hours. All for free!
All told, Peak Performance Online is definitely a site any keen trainer, sportsperson, or fitness enthusiast should bookmark in favourites – and not just because I have a blog up on there!
